I am the middle sister. I am a great adventuress, a scrabble goddess, and a sometime writer who is just trying to make sense of this crazy world.

Cast of Characters: Married to George for more than 20 years, a great adventurer at heart. Daughter Brook has my face and is so family oriented that she keeps another family on second life. Son Daniel has his Dad's work ethic, my inclination for learning the hard way and our love for outdoor adventure. Our youngest, Benjamin, is a student, a barista and coffee roaster with my wanderlust and sense of justice, and a flair for the dramatic that we can't explain. My dog Lily is my constant hiking companion. She's the pretty one in the picture!

What I do: I teach communication and mass media classes at a University. I love teaching and learning. I'm also a brilliant yet tortured writer. Mostly tortured due to an on again off again writing work ethic and focus.  I am an advocate and board member for my local public library. I am a daydreamer, and still not completely committed to what I want to be when I grow up.

What I love: My family and friends. I love having everyone over for dinner. I love going on adventures or even getting lost with them. I love my sisters, to talk with, shop with, scrabble with, blog with, and to vacation with! I love being Aunt Beki, spending time with the nieces and nephews. Or hanging with my friends Diane and Carol. The more the merrier!

I love words: reading, writing, speaking, listening or playing scrabble.

I love adventure: hiking, roadtrips, camping, backpacking, getting lost.

I love the movie Juno, Sherl Crow and Bonnie Raitt, blues guitars, and old houses with big porches!
